The pilot plant was partially funded during ReCO2very and Landfill4Health projects by the Retos-Colaboración programme of MINECO as well as the programme for R&D of IDEPA that involved ERDF & PCTI funds. The pilot, developed in collaboration with INGEMAS and NEOALGAE, consists of 2 outdoor raceways, one indoor raceway and 8 photo-reactors, vibrating sieve, flue gas supply (CO2) from waste incineration or biogas motors, SCADA, etc. The microalgae biomass will be valuable as fertiliser or biostimulant returning carbon and nitrogen to nature, or will be used as substrate for biogas production.
