From June 5th to 7th, LIFE INFUSION participated in the Waste-to-Resources 2023 Conference held in Tunis, Tunisia. It was a great opportunity to show how our project intends to recover valuable resources present in waste effluents.
The Waste-to-Resources, supported by the International Solid Waste Association (ISWA), is the leading platform for the international exchange of knowledge about material and energy recovery from waste. Some of the topics discussed in this edition were the future of circular economy, waste collection and waste to energy, topics strongly related with our project.
Our colleague Julia Hereza Atienza presented our solution in the block “Treatment and conversion of waste treatment effluents” in the international conference, bringing the opportunity to the audience to know how the assembling of various proven technologies could be useful to recover nutrients, generate biogas and reclaim water from the liquid fraction of organic municipal waste and landfill leachate.
What is more, this event allowed exploring synergies between the LIFE INFUSION and some of the most relevant projects in the field of material and energy recovery from waste.
