On June 9th 2023, on the framework of the EU Green Week 2023, LIFE INFUSION organized successfully a webinar to increase awareness and contribute to the public debate surrounding sustainability and the EU Green Deal. To achieve this goal, the LIFE INFUSION team organised a game-changing webinar in Spanish, which was selected as a partner event by the European Commission.

The around 65 attendees had the opportunity to learn more about green innovative practices.  Specifically, some of the most advanced European projects regarding resources recovery, with special focus on nutrients, were introduced: the LIFE INFUSION itself, the LIFE ZERO WASTE WATER, the LIFE ENRICH and the LIFE GREEN SEWER.

Other regional initiatives to push the circular economy were also presented, such as different funding tool for innovative projects by the “Agència de Residus de Catalunya” and the new strategies in Asturias and the metropolitan area of Barcelona to increase the innovation in waste management.

Finally, the municipalities of Viladecans and Hospitalet de Llobregat showed their sustainability initiatives, including the clothes collection and reselling and how the public administrations can use the public tenders to include environmental aspects.
