The LIFE INFUSION project team is pleased to announce that the membrane contactors have already been moved from the Eurecat facilities to Ecoparc 2 in Montcada i Reixac.
The pilot, officially in operation since February 2022, continues receiving the necessary technologies to complete the demonstration plant in Catalonia. This last installed part of the process allows treating the effluent from the ultrafiltration of the thermophilic anaerobic digestion to reduce the ammonium present in it and obtain ammonium sulfate, a biofertilizer whose application will be tested in agriculture.
Soon, the demonstration will be completed with regenerated membranes, which will allow obtaining regenerated water applicable for irrigation.
