In the context of the midterm evaluation of NEEMO EEIG, a legal entity contracted by the European Commission in order to provide an external support in monitoring LIFE projects, LIFE INFUSION held a face-to-face evaluation meeting with the participation of the evaluator and representatives of each consortium member. In this case, the session was structured in two different parts.
First, during the morning, the consortium went to Eurecat facilities, where the attendees could visit the coordinator’s laboratories. There, the bench-scale experiments to optimize the INFUSION process were carried out. Afterwards, each Work Package leader presented the status of the related tasks and future actions.
In the afternoon, the participants visited the Ecoparc 2, the mechanical-biological waste treatment plant where the Infusion solution is firstly installed. Once there, technology owner partners provided a detailed explanation of their equipment. Finally, EBESA, as partner in charge of the prototype adaptation and operation, explained how they are working with the available equipment and what are the main difficulties and first results obtained.
In the near future, the missing equipment necessary to complete the demonstration plant will arrive at Ecoparc 2, approximately on July 13, 2022.
