This morning, the coordinator of the LIFE INFUSION project has had the opportunity to present our project in the LIFE CLEAN UP networking days.
In particular, CLEAN UP is a LIFE Project based on wastewater treatment. In other words, its objective is to deal with emerging contaminants presents in the urban wastewater and effluents from wastewater treatment plants, in order to obtain purified water. To do that, the project is under the umbrella of the European Regulation 2020/741, which establishes new minimum requirements for the utilization of reclaimed water.
Furthermore, other participating projects such as H2020 Nice, LIFE DESIROWS and LIFE ZERO WASTE WATER also bear the challenge of applying new technologies to recover nutrients and process the wastewater effluents to allow their use in irrigation and other applications.
What is more, this event will allow exploring possible future synergies between the LIFE INFUSION project and some of the most relevant projects in the field of wastewater treatment.
