After more than a year, the operation of the LIFE INFUSION solution in the Ecoparc 2 is arriving at the end, and it is time to prepare the operation in Asturias to test it in different conditions, with landfill leachate as the inlet flow.
For this reason, the next host partner of the system, COGERSA, went hand in hand with EBESA, Aqualia and Eurecat over a whole week to learn the most relevant aspects of the operation of the pilot and frequent anomalies to face.
During the operation of the current pilot plant, EBESA has faced successfully the complexity of operating a system composed by technologies from different partners of the project. This experience has allowed them to develop an instruction book with the most relevant procedures and contingency measures.
After the training period, COGERSA is ready to soon host and operate the system, including the ABAD Bioenergy® unit to upgrade the biogas into biomethane. This step is an addition to the system already proved in Ecoparc 2, and developed by Aqualia, owner of the technology.
